Kevin Nash und Booker T unterzeichnen WWE-Verträge
Der Beim Royal Rumble zur WWE zurückgekehrte Kevin Nash, inzwischen wieder bekannt als "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, wird offenbar noch eine Weile mit der WWE verbunden bleiben. So unterzeichnete er eigenen Angaben zufolge einen Legendenvertrag in der McMahon-Liga, welcher neben gelegentlichen Auftritten auch zur Produktion diverser DVDs oder Action-Figuren führen könnte. Zudem gibt es Gerüchte über ein beim Rumble angedeutetes Programm zwischen Diesel und Big Show.
Der ebenfalls beim Rumble zurückgekehrte Booker T soll ebenfalls einen WWE-Vertrag unterschrieben haben, dessen Umfang jedoch noch nicht komplett bekannt ist. Es soll sich den Gerüchten zufolge jedoch um einen langfristigen, "richtigen" Deal handeln (also keinen legends Vertrag) und Booker soll hauptsächlich als Manager eingesetzt werden, der auch ab und an in den Ring steigt. Die positiven Reaktionen auf seine Rückkehr lassen das WWE-Management jedoch schon jetzt überlegen, ihn in einer deutlich prominenteren Rolle zu verwenden.

The locker room is great now. It's completely different because a lot of those veterans are gone, that old school mentality is kind of gone and it's a whole new school kind of attitude and feel. Obviously, everybody wants that. Everybody wants my spot so I have a target on my back which is fine. I'm more than willing to have a target on my back. Yeah, I still talk to Jericho a lot. When he came back that last time, that really influenced me a lot as well as Shawn Michaels. I've always been a big fan of The Rock. Working with him taught me a lot at what I had to get, where I had to go to become a top talent in the WWE and become a main evener.

I felt like ripping my skin right off my body. It was horrible. My body just started going through these horrendous withdrawals just from three months of clinical use. That surprised me and I was completely taken back that three months of clinical use could have your body addicted that quickly .. I want to say about a week into [the withdrawls], maybe a little less, the cravings for me to go back to my doctor and get a refill just so I could feel normal again were overwhelming. If it wasn't for my wife basically keeping me on track and forcing me to power my way through it, I'm sure I would have gone back to the doctor to get another prescription in order to just feel normal again.

Erste Card für 'Elimination Chamber'
Drei kurze Wochen sind es gerade mal bis die Road to Wrestlemania durch die Elimination Chamber führt. Zum Einen wurde bei RAW gestern Abend die Elimination Chamber des RAW Brands festgelegt, dessen Sieger bei Wrestlemania auf den WWE Champion treffen wird. Aber wer wird das sein? Das entscheidet sich im vermutlichen Main Event des PPV-Events. WWE Champion The Miz verteidigt dort seinen Gürtel gegen seinen neuen Dauerrivalen und WWE Hall of Famer Jerry 'The King' Lawler!

Sting vor legendärem Debüt bei WWE? *Spoiler*
Die Gerüchte waren jedes Jahr da. Sting zur WWE! Und dann doch nicht. Eine Aufnahme in die Hall of Fame ist auch jedes Jahr wieder ein Grund zu Spekulationen. Doch jetzt scheinen die Pläne sich zu konkretisieren und die Chancen auf eines der größten Debüts in der WWE Geschichte scheinen gut zu stehen.
Bei seinem alten Arbeitgeber rätselt man derzeit um den Status von Sting. Dieser hat keinen neuen Vertrag für das Jahr 2011 unterschrieben und nach dem Scheitern der Verhandlungen mit Kevin Nash (Diesel) glaubt man daran das auch The Icon schon bei World Wrestling Entertainment angeheuert hat. Die New York Daily News berichten bereits das Sting einen 1-Jahres Vertrag unterschrieben habe, bestätigt ist aber noch nichts.
Grund für die Spekulationen ist allen voran ein mysteriöses Video bei RAW, welches bei der gestrigen Ausgabe über die Bildschirme flackerte. Andere Stimmen vermuten statt Sting den Undertaker hinter diesem Hype. Zum Video.

* Morrisons Sprung an die Absperrung
John Morrison's leap of faith to the security wall and show of athleticism will be on many future Royal Rumble highlight packages. I thought Morrison might last a little longer in the RR match but that one interval served Morrison well.
* Dolph Zigglers Performance
Dolph Ziggler reminds me somewhat of the great Pat Patterson of many years gone by not to mention that the athletic Ziggler has some Mr. Perfect traits as well. Ziggler can become very, very good in time especially when he becomes more comfortable on the mic. However with heat seeking missile Vickie Guerrero aligned with Dolph, Ziggler's need to talk isn't a priority....yet.
* CM Punks Performance
CM Punk had a MVP like performance Sunday night and impressed me on numerous exchanges both athletically and with his facial expressions. Looks like Punk vs. Orton is going to be on the WM27 menu unless I'm wrong and, BTW, that happens frequently. Bottom line....good night for Punk.
* Rückkehr von Booker T & Kevin Nash
Great ovations from where I was sitting at home in my old La-Z-Boy for both Booker T and Kevin Nash. Good to see both men looking physically fit and the Boston crowd ate up both stars surprise appearances. I have no idea if their Royal Rumble appearances were one offs or if they will be hanging around WWE at least on a part time basis. Both have skills that they can add to the mix even if they don't step back into a wrestling ring.

I consider it always because it's not like it was in 2005 where I was sick of wrestling. Sick of it is maybe a harsh word. Disenchanted, I guess, is a better word. [...] I wasn't disenchanted when I left in September. It was just my contract was up. That was it. And there were other things just waiting to come through. Even if I was coming back, I always would have taken those four months, three months off to do the Fozzy tours. Then other things have kind of popped up to delay my return. [...] I mean, there's a deal on the table. A deal on the table that's 90-percent done. There's a couple of minor things that we had to hammer out. It would just be a matter of what other stuff is going on and how that stuff is going.

I was in wrestling. I was on the cover of some magazines. I got an agent right off the bat. I was lucky to get someone who really cared about me and wanted to help me grow. [...] The WWE…I did it for eight years. It’s very much theater. Everyone is playing a character. It’s great to be out there doing that, but it’s almost the opposite of what I found when I moved to L.A. Acting is very small and intimate and emotional.

Update zu Elimination Chamber: Teilnehmer des Smackdown-Chambers sind bekannt (Spoiler)
Soeben liefen die Tapings zu Friday Night Smackdown über die Bühne. Natürlich gibt es auch hier wieder Entwicklungen für den anstehenden Elimination Chamber PPV. Während der Show gab es eine Menge Quali-Matches, welche Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Kane & Wade Barrett für sich entscheiden konnten. Dolph Ziggler und Edge wurden dem Match ohne Qualification Match hinzugefügt, da es um den World Heavyweight Championship gehen wird. Damit ist das Lineup für den Smackdown Chamber komplett. Triple H für zwei Matches im März angekündigt
Viele Fans rätseln, wann der Tag sein wird, an dem “The Game” Triple H endlich sein Comeback im WWE Ring geben wird. Nachdem es immer wieder diverse Meldungen bezüglich seines Gesundheitszustands gab, rechneten einige Zuschauer damit, dass er zumindest im Royal Rumble Match eingreifen wird. Dazu kam es bekanntermaßen aber nicht.
Mittlerweile kann man allerdings davon ausgehen, dass die Verletzung von Triple H so gut wie ausgeheilt ist und einer Rückkehr in den Ring nichts mehr im Wege steht. So wird Triple H schon für zwei Kämpfe im März angekündigt, welche allerdings noch Matches mit mehreren Teilnehmern sind. Somit möchte man ihm wohl zu Beginn die Last eines Single Matches nehmen.
Am 20. März wird er während einer Houseshow, zusammen mit John Cena, in einem Two-on-Four Handicap Match gegen CM Punk, sowie seine Mitglieder der Nexus, antreten. Am 28. März wird er an einem Dark Match, der letzten WWE Raw Ausgabe vor Wrestlemania, in einem Eight-Man Tag Team Match teilnehmen. Das Match lautet: Triple H, Randy Orton, John Cena & World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett & WWE Champion The Miz.

ebenfalls sicher scheint mit das das mysteriöse video das in den letzten tagen in den wochenshows zu sehen is sich sehr um den Return um dem Dead men dreht. ich würds begrüßen denn was währe WrestleMania ohne den Taker.

Am Montag präsentierte die WWE während ihrer Live-RAW Sendung The Rock als den Guest-Host für die kommende WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta, Georgia. Doch wer glaubt, dies sei schon die größte Überraschung gewesen, die Vince McMahon für das jährliche Großereignis auspackt, der wird sich - zumindest wenn man den Worten von Jim Ross und Chris Jericho glauben schenken kann - noch schwer wundern.
So schrieb Jim Ross per Twitter nach der Enthüllung von Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson als Guest Host: Man muß es der WWE schon lassen: HBK in die HOF, Austin bei Tough Enough, The Rock als Host/Star @WM27.... UND ES KOMMT NOCH VIEL MEHR.. Achtung Atlanta!"
In die gleiche Kerbe schlug der langjährige WWE-Star Chris Jericho während eines Interviews in der Busted-Open-Radio Show. Jericho meinte hierzu: "Ihr glaubt, The Rock sei der letzte große "Verkaufsschlager" für WrestleMania 27? Keine Chance! Ich bin sicher er [Vince McMahon] hat noch mindestens zwei bis drei andere Asse im Ärmel und wenn alles gesagt und getan ist, dann wird die Energie dieser WrestleMania die letzten drei Jahre komplett umhauen."

- Am Sonntag findet mit Elimination Chamber 2011 der letzte Pay-Per-View vor dem alljährlichen Spektakel WrestleMania statt. Aktuell sollen die Pläne ein Match zwischen dem Undertaker und Triple H für die größte Veranstaltung des Jahres vorsehen. Für dieses Match wurden auch schon diverse Stipulations diskutiert, hartnäckig hält sich die Variante, dass Triple H seine Karriere gegen den Deadman aufs Spiel setzt und Shawn Michaels als Special Referee agieren wird, doch in Stein gemeißelt ist dieser Plan noch nicht.
Triple H zieht aktuell in Betracht, seine aktive Karriere sehr bald zu beenden. Mit nun mehr 41 Jahren und vielen hartnäckigen Muskelverletzungen will er sich wohl nur noch seinen Aufgabenbereichen hinter den Kulissen von World Wrestling Entertainment widmen. Der Aufbau für dieses Match, sollte man letztendlich die Pläne denn verwirklichen, dürfte direkt nach Elimination Chamber starten.
- In den vergangenen drei Wochen konnte man bei Monday Night RAW mysteriöse Videoeinspieler begutachten. Wie sich dann im letzten Video rausstellte, wird mit diesen Einspielern die Rückkehr des Undertakers eingeleitet. Nach dem ersten Video kamen jedoch Gerüchte auf, wonach es sich um den früheren WCW- und TNA World Heavyweight Champion handeln sollte, welcher sein Debüt für World Wrestling Entertainment feiern würde. Bekanntlich gab es durchaus Gespräche zwischen Steve Borden und World Wrestling Entertainment, doch eine Einigung ist bisher nicht erfolgt. Man darf gespannt sein, ob es den WWE-Offiziellen gelingen sollte, Sting für ein Engagement zu gewinen

Ehemaliger deutscher Deathmatch-Wrestler veröffentlicht seine Autobiografie
Im Oktober 2010 erschütterte eine Nachricht die Fans des deutschen Wrestlers Thumbtack Jack. Gerade erst hatte er sich dazu entschlossen, seine Deathmatch-Karriere zu beenden und sich fortan aufs "klassische" Wrestling zu konzentrieren, als ein schrecklicher Ringunfall sein Leben veränderte: In einem Match gegen MASADA zog sich Alexander Bedranowsky, so Jacks bürgerlicher Name, einen Wirbelbruch zu. Er musste seine Wrestlingkarriere abrupt beenden.
Die Zeit der Rehabilitation nutzte er aber, um seine Erfahrungen im Business niederzuschreiben und nun veröffentlicht er seine Autobiografie. Jakks had a 2003 Ruthless Aggression Diesel doll and they slapped a Nash logo on it with the same Diesel head, and it was just bogus man.

Alberto Del Rio hätte beinahe Vertrag gekundigt
"Mittlerweile ist Alberto Del Rio einer der Top-Stars in der WWE, steht durch seinen Sieg im Royal Rumble Match im Main Event von WrestleMania. Doch hierzu wäre es vor einem Jahr fast nicht gekommen, wenn man aktuellen Backstage-Gerüchten glauben darf.
So hat Del Rio vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr nämlich mit seiner Kündigung gedroht. Der Hintergrund hierzu ist, dass Del Rio unzufireden darüber war, dass seine Karriere in Florida Championship Wrestling stagnierte und nicht voran kam. Da er seinerzeit einen Vertrag bei der WWE nur unter der Bedingunge, dass er nach kurzer Zeit ins Hauptroster der WWE übergehen wird, unterschrieben hat, setzte er die Company unter Druck.
