He was so loved and respected by everyone, especially the ones that worked with him. I think we're all feeling a real deep sense of loss. He was such a good man and somebody that we all loved and cared about so much. Randy was a real one-of-a-kind guy.
I don't know how much you can explain how much of a loss this is to the wrestling world. We've lost so many wrestlers over the years and in this case at least, I feel a little better knowing God checked Randy out rather than something like drugs or something like that.

Kharma schon jetzt vor langer Auszeit?
"Am Montag gab es bei RAW einen diskussionswürdigen Angle. Alle Diven stellten sich gegen Kharma. Diese setzte sich in den Ring und begann plötzlich zu weinen. Im Internet stieß diese Szene auf Kopfschütteln und Ungläubigkeit.
Unter Berufung auf den Wrestling Observer berichtet ProWrestling.net nun, daß Kharma vor einer 9-monatigen Auszeit steht. Gründe dafür sind absolut nicht bekannt. Keiner kann sagen, ob es sich um eine mögliche Verletzung oder anderes handelt. Fakt sei laut Observer nur, daß mit dem Angle am Montag bei RAW Kharma vorerst aus den TV-Shows genommen werden soll.

Raw-Roulette kehrt zurück, Tyson Kidd mit neuem Manager
"- Für die Raw-Ausgabe vom 27.06.2011 wurde ein besonderes Special angekündigt: das Raw-Roulette wird zurück kehren. In den vergangenen Jahren wurde diese Show des öfteren gezeigt, hier werden Matches und Stipulationen während der Show mittels eines Roulettes 'erdreht'.
- Nachdem Tyson Kidd in den letzten Wochen an der Seite von Michael Hayes auftrat debütierte er bei Superstars nun mit einem neuen Manager. Armando Estrada kehrte vor die WWE-Kameras zurück. Estrada fragte bereits vor einigen Monaten nach einer neuen TV-Rolle, nun hat es scheinbar geklappt.

Bret Hart künftig öfters bei RAW?, HHH weiterhin Out of Action, WWE unzufrieden mit Tough Enough
"- Beim PPV "Over the Limit" und bei der darauffolgenden RAW-Show kam es zu zwei überraschenden Auftritten des ehemaligen WWE Champions und Hall of Famers Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Wie WNO berichtet plant WWE den Hitman nun wieder öfter in seine Shows einzubinden. Möglich dabei ist eine Storyline in welcher er gegen THe Nexus gestellt wird, Dabei soll er auch Unterstützung von den bei der WWE beschäftigten Mitgliedern der Hart Familie bekommen. Dies würde dann bedeuten das es zu einer Fehde zwischen The Nexus und der Hart Foundation kommt. Da WNO aktuell die einizige Seite ist, die darüber berichtet, sollte diese Meldung vorerst mit Vorsicht genossen werden.
- Triple H wird mindestens bis zum Summerslam "out of Action" bleiben. Der mehrfache World Champion will sich aktuell in seine neue Rolle als Talent Agent reinarbeiten und dafür seine Energie investieren. Außerdem ist The Game aktuell völlig außer Form. Auf Grund seines Alters wird es einigen Wochen brauchen, bevor HHH wieder fit sein wird für ein dauerhaftes Ring-Comeback.
- Das Office rund um Vince McMahon ist aktuell sehr unzufrieden mit den Entwicklungen bei Tough Enough. Trotz Starbesetzung wie Stone Cold Steve Austin und diese Woche unter anderem mit The Rock sind die Ratings absolut nicht zufriedenstellend. Ebenso ist es so, daß die Favoriten der Show schon ausgeschieden sind. Die Pläne sahe vor, daß der Gewinner der diesjährigen Staffel sofort in die WWE-Mainshows gesteckt werden sollte. Mit Austin als Manager an seiner Seite wollte WWE diesen dann extrem pushen. Jedoch ist mit AJ am Montag der letzte Wunschkandidat für diese Rolle ausgeschieden. Bei den überbliebenen Teilnehmern haben die Talent Scouts starke Bedenken, daß sie diesen Part in den Mainshows übernehmen könnten. Warum das nun so ist, versteht so richtig keiner, da die Teilnehmer von den Trainern Steve Austin, Bill Demott und Trish Stratus ausgewählt und aussortiert werden.

I think since three days since it happened, pretty darn good. Lanny’s always been great. I think what they decided to do too, because I got so many calls from everybody wondering where the funeral is going to be... I know you know it by now too, going to be cremated of course. His ashes are going to be spread on his property. Now, the reason I’m saying this, and its already out there anyhow... Lanny confirmed it too... where his dog Hercules passed away and was buried.
I think just a little private deal is going to be for Randy’s family, I don’t think he wanted something very very big and that’s kind of the way he was. When he did charities, he never went out there and told people about it or anything and I think donations are going to be sent in in his name are going to be in Tampa for one of the children’s foundations here. I think they’re doing pretty well for it just happening three or four days ago.

I don’t think it was as bad as sometimes people make it out to be because in the wrestling business, there’s always a little angle right around the corner where people can work together and make a ton of money. I think it ended up pretty well. I think when Hulk was going in to the hospital for one of his operations with his back, Randy happened to be at the same place. He stepped in to the room, said hello to Hulk and everything else.
At the end, everything was pretty well being put back together again. Sometimes people make more of it than what it really is sometimes but being on this end and hearing a little bit of the scuttlebutt here and there, it was almost like a big wrestling angle. Randy was great, there will only be one Macho Man ever ever, colorful and did some great things nobody ever really knew about because he was so private.

That's been said a lot of different ways, and there's been a lot of different things said that are not true necessarily.
I think that what happened with Randy, when his career was winding down with the WWF, Vince McMahon just loved Randy. After all everything Randy had done and he took him under his wing, and he wanted Randy after the ring was over with for him, he wanted him to be our spokesperson. He was traveling with Vince all the time. Randy was almost like a son, they were really tight. And then one day, we were at a TV meeting, and we got word that Randy, without calling Vince, had left and jumped to the WCW. I had never seen Vince McMahon broken before, he was crushed. It hurt him big time and I don't think he ever got over that. I think that's the real problem to be honest with you.
I heard all this other stuff that I think is garbage when it comes to Randy and relationships with daughters and all that stuff... I don't think that's anywhere's close to the truth.

There were several different sides to Randy. Personal, professionally, inside the ring, outside the ring…..Randy was, in my opinion, if you want to talk about just the persona of 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, and I said this the other day. There’s three things that go into making a great performer, you gotta have your in ring ability, your verbal skills, and the it factor, and on a scale of 1-10, I think Randy was a 10 out of 10 on all of them.
His body of work throughout his career to me really holds up and obviously the WrestleMania match, WrestleMania III... when you have a match that can still stand the test of time, that speaks volumes. Like in the music industry, sometimes there are classics that go on and on forever. To me, Randy had many of those with Steamboat. He had a great series of matches with Ultimate Warrior. I think the best match Ultimate Warrior ever had was with Randy. So as far a performer, you can’t say enough good things.

For Randy to have the corporate clout so to speak to take the Slim Jim account from one organization to another, sort of speaks volumes about the brand that Macho Man became. When he went from WWF to WCW, that was huge. I believe you put Hulk (Hogan), (Ric) Flair, and Savage, I’m sure everything is debatable on the most famous wrestlers of all time but Randy is in the argument without a doubt.

I think it was a shock, and George probably knew more of the details at the time, but Randy was... if you really think about WrestleMania, and entrenching it in I guess the fabric of pop culture, look at the roles Macho Man played in the first ten. That sort of speaks for itself.

Randy Orton hat einen neuen No One Contender - möglicher Main Event für Capitol Punishment (SD-Spoiler)
"Bei den Tapings zu Friday Night Smackdown wurde den Fans ein neuer No One Contender auf den World Heavyweight Championship präsentiert. Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um Christian, sondern überraschend um Sheamus, welcher damit als nächster das Anrecht auf ein Titelmatch bekommt.
Ob das Match beim kommenden PPV, WWE Captiol Punishment, stattfinden wird, ist indes noch unbekannt. Man geht aber davon aus, dass es beim Event zu dem angekündigten Match zwischen Orton und Sheamus kommt.
Wir halten euch diesbezüglich auf dem Laufenden.

I have no definitive comments to make on the 'Jeff Hardy incident' as I don't follow TNA that closely nor do I know the accurate details of the issues at hand for Jeff other than he has had a court case pending that has seemingly dragged on forever which means the legal meter has been running, one would assume, for weeks and weeks. I like Jeff, I signed both Jeff and his brother Matt to WWE contracts, and hope that any personal issues that he may have can be resolved sooner than later and for good.

What will Hulk Hogan's legacy be at the end of the day? I can't see why it won't be excellent. If Hogan is judged on his contributions to the business of pro wrestling then it's a no brainer. Hulk's legacy is intact IMO as I don't choose to judge him or anyone else by personal issues that happen in many of our lives.

Randy Savages Beisetzung und letzter Wille
"Der Körper des verstorbenen Randy Savage wurde laut TMZ am Dienstag eingeäschert und unter einem Baum auf seinem Anwesen in Largo, Florida, verstreut. Die Familie erfüllte Randys letzten Willen und spielte bei der Zeremonie nicht "Pomp and Circumstance", Savages bekannte Auftrittsmusik.
Randy Savage fühlte sich die letzten Jahre ziemlich schuldig, dass er dieses Musikstück für seine Auftritte nutzte. Sein Idol und Wrestling-Legende Georgeous George kam ebenfalls zu diesen Klängen zum Ring. Randy vermutete daher etwas von George gestohlen zu haben.
Wie Bruder Lanny Poffo berichtete, werden am heutigen Donnerstag Familie und Freunde erneut zu einer Trauerfeier zusammentreffen.

I identified with Randy a lot. We both had a lot in common, in that we were both buys who grew up in this industry whose fathers were wrestlers. I've always believed that for kids who that grew up in the industry that it's not just a job, but it's something they fell in love with and something they've known all their lives. There's a certain camaraderie there. In a word, Randy was charismatic. He'll be very missed, and it's sad.

Randy, who died in a car crash May 20 at age 58, was one of the building blocks of what is now WWE (previously known as the World Wrestling Federation). He had a very unusual voice --remember his "Snap into a Slim Jim. Oh, yeah!" commercials?--and was extremely charismatic. Perception is very important in this business, and he also had a very high opinion of himself, something he needed in a locker room full of performers who had been around for a while and had big personalities and followings--like Hulk Hogan, Today, Randy is remembered as one of wrestling's all time greats. No question about it--he certainly was.

"Wie gestern berichtet, forderte der Ultimate Warrior den Hulkster heraus, nachdem sich dieser in einem Interview auf HDNet über den ehemaligen Jim Hellwig äußerte.
Im ersten Teil dieses Interviews sprach Hogan über den Bodyslam gegen Andre The Giant bei WrestleMania 3, seine 8 Rücken-OPs, Wrestling in Japan, die Gründung der nWo beim Bash At The Beach 1996 und die Arbeit mit Stylvester Stallone im Film Rocky 3.
Der zweite Teil handelt von der Geburt der Hulkamania, vom Iron Sheik, von WrestleMania 1, sowie von Andre the Giant und "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

"Vergangenen Freitag wurde der ehemalige Schwergewichtsweltmeister Brock Lesnar aufgrund einer Divertikulitis am Darm operiert. Wie UFC-Präsident Dana White am Samstag bekanntgab, wurden Lesnar 30 Zentimeter seines Dickdarms entfernt. Er rechnet mit einer aktiven Rückkehr zu Beginn des Jahres 2012.

"Die Zusammenarbeit der wXw mit japanischen Ligen
Am 04.06.2011 findet in der Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen die Benefizveranstaltung „ wXw with you, Japan!" statt, bei der die gesamten Gewinne sowie ein Teil der Merchandiseverkäufe dem Deutschen Roten Kreuz für Hilfsprojekte in Japan gespendet werden.
Aus diesem Anlass stellt dieser Artikel die Entwicklung der Kooperation der wXw mit den japanischen Ligen kurz dar, gibt einen statistischen Überblick über diese und enthält zudem ein drei Fragen umfassendes Kurzinterview mit Tassilo Jung.
Die Kooperation
Der erste Einsatz eines japanischen Wrestlers fand 2005 im Rahmen einer Kooperation der wXw mit Pro Wrestling NOAH statt. So traten am 20.03.2005 bei 'Navigation To A New Level' sowohl Yoshinari Ogawa in einem Singles Match, als auch Mitsuharu Misawa und Kotaro Suzuki in einem Tag Team Kampf an. Im gleichen Jahr fanden mit 'wXw Dead End V - Tag 2' und 'wXw Fight Club 2005: Burning! - Tag 2' noch zwei weitere Shows mit japanischen Gaststars, wie zum Beispiel Kenta Kobashi und Go Shizaki, statt.
Nachdem 2006 die Kooperation fortgeführt wurde und NOAH wieder Wrestler zu drei Shows schickte, erfolgte 2007 eine Intensivierung der Beziehungen. Neben dem 16 Carat Gold 2007, bei dem Atsushi Aoki und Go Shiozaki teilnahmen, standen noch bei fünf anderen Shows Wrestler von NOAH im Ring. Außerdem begann in diesem Jahr die Kooperation mit Dragon Gate, was sich unter anderem in der Carat Teilnahme von Ryo Saito sowie den Auftritten von Dragon Kid und Cima äußerte.
Im Jahr danach standen mit Taiji Ishimori und Naomichi Marufuji wieder zwei Repräsentanten von NOAH im 16 Carat Gold. Zudem gab es mit 'wXw/NOAH Dead End VIII - Tag 2: European Navigation' zum ersten Mal eine Kooperationsshow mit einer japanischen Promotion.
2009 traten vor allem Wrestler von Dragon Gate bei der wXw auf. So stellte die Promotion mit Shingo den Sieger des 16 Carat Gold 2009 und veranstaltete im Oktober eine Kooperationsshow mit der wXw. Zudem feierte beim 16 Carat Daisuke Sekimoto sein wXw Debüt.
Im darauffolgenden Jahr wurden die Beziehungen zu den japanischen Ligen weiter intensiviert. So hatte man Wrestler aus drei verschiedenen japanischen Ligen im 16 Carat Gold 2010 und veranstaltete wieder eine Kooperationsshow mit Dragon Gate. Des Weiteren standen bei drei Shows auch wieder Kämpfer von NOAH im wXw - Ring.
2011 begann mit einer großen Überraschung. Bei 'Back to the Roots X' konnte Daisuke Sekimoto den wXw Unified World Titel von Big Van Walter gewinnen und diesen sowohl beim 16 Carat Gold 2011, bei dem auch in diesem Jahr noch drei weitere japanische Wrestler teilnahmen, als auch bei den wXw – Shows in den USA verteidigen konnte. Er verlor ihn erst im Rückkampf gegen Walter, der im Rahmen dessen drei Shows umfassenden Big Japan – Tour im Mai stattfand. Letztlich war im Mai erneut NOAH zu Gast in Deutschland und veranstaltet zusammen mit der wXw nach 2008 die zweite Kooperationsshow der beiden Ligen.
Die Kämpfe
Insgesamt wurden mit je zwei Shows von Pro Wrestling NOAH, die in den Jahren 2008 und 2011 stattfanden, und Dragon Gate 2009 sowie 2010, vier große Kooperationsshows mit japanischen Ligen veranstaltet. Daneben traten noch bei insgesamt 35 anderen wXw Veranstaltungen japanische Kämpfer auf.
Insgesamt fanden 111 Kämpfe (2005: 8 Kämpfe; 2006: 5 Kämpfe; 2007: 22 Kämpfe; 2008: 9 Kämpfe; 2009: 15 Kämpfe; 2010: 23 Kämpfe ; 2011: 29 Kämpfe) mit japanischer Beteiligung statt. In diesen traten 45 verschiedene Wrestler (2005: 8 Wrestler; 2006: 5 Wrestler ; 2007: 13 Wrestler; 2008: 5 Wrestler; 2009: 12 Wrestler; 2010: 18 Wrestler; 2011: 15 Wrestler) an. Go Shiozaki und Daisuke Sekimoto standen dabei mit jeweils 13 Kämpfen am häufigsten im wXw – Ring.
Auch die Titel der wXw wurden bereits von japanischen Wrestlern gehalten. Neben Sekimoto, der den wXw World Unified Titel dieses Jahr gewann, konnte Dragon Kid 2007 den wXw World Lightweight Titel erringen. Zudem fanden in Deutschland auch schon Verteidigungen von japanischen Titeln, wie zum Beispiel im Mai die des GHC Heavyweight Titels, statt.
Das Kurzinterview
Tassilo Jung, geschäftsführender Gesellschafter von westside Xtreme wrestling, hat sich freundlicherweise erneut dazu bereit erklärt, screwjob.de drei kurze Frage zur Zusammenarbeit der wXw mit japanischen Ligen zu beantworten.
Welchen Einfluss hat das japanische Wrestling auf die wXw?
Das japanische Wrestling hat allgemein einen großen Einfluss auf viele Independent Ligen ausgehend davon, dass viele Wrestler zuallererst nun einmal auch Anhänger dieses Wrestlingstils sind und diesen verfolgt haben. Immer mehr Wrestler kommen aus den Wrestlingschulen hervor und äußern eben nicht das Ziel, einmal bei WWE (oder TNA) zu wrestlen, sondern irgendwann einmal nach Japan zu kommen.
wXw ist da absolut keine Ausnahme. Sowohl Felix als auch Christian als auch ich sind große Fans des Puroresu und sind natürlich immer, wenn wir Wrestling schauen, auch auf der Suche nach Verbesserungen für wXw, sei es von der Präsentation oder von konkreten Leuten her. Durch die vielen Japaner, die über die Jahre hier waren, bei wXw im Ring standen oder im Westside Dojo Trainingsseminare gegeben haben, hat sich dieser Einfluss natürlich multipliziert.
Welche Intention stand 2005 hinter dem Einsatz von japanischen Wrestlern in der wXw?
wXw hatte damals wie heute das Konzept, ein möglichst vielfältiges Produkt zu bieten, in dem sich möglichst viele Fans zuhause fühlen. Wir wollten allen das geben, was sie zuhause gerne auf Videotapes geschaut haben ... und als sich dann die Möglichkeit ergeben hat, einen absoluten Megastar wie Misawa nach Deutschland zu holen, haben wir sofort zugeschlagen und damals zum ersten Mal NOAH Wrestler zeigen können. Dass daraus über die Jahre so viel mehr werden könnte hätten wir uns nicht träumen lassen.
Wie sind die Kooperationen mit Dragon Gate und BJW zu Stande gekommen und warum gibt es bisher noch keine Zusammenarbeit mit NJPW, der größten japanischen Promotion?
Sowohl bei Dragon Gate als auch bei Big Japan hat sich der Kontakt so ergeben, dass wir für Events einzelne Wrestler aus diesen Promotions verpflichtet haben. Bei Dragon Gate hatten wir fürs World Lightweight Tournament 2006 den dann verletzten Shingo geholt und für True Colors 2007 Dragon Kid und CIMA. Bei Big Japan haben wir fürs Carat 2009 Daisuke Sekimoto verpflichtet.
Wir waren in allen Fällen sehr zufrieden mit den Wrestlern und ihren Leistungen, die Wrestler waren zufrieden damit wie sie hier behandelt worden sind und mochten es vor den deutschen Fans anzutreten. Natürlich reden die dann auch zuhause mit ihren Kollegen und den Offices in Japan, wodurch dann Interesse an einer weiteren Zusammenarbeit nochmals angeregt worden ist. Das ist eigentlich alles sehr organisch gewachsen.
Entsprechend auch die Frage nach den New Japan Wrestlern: Wir hatten noch nie jemanden von New Japan hier, also konnte da auch nichts wachsen. Es gab mal einzelne Verhandlungen, aber daraus ist dann aus verschiedenen Gründen noch nichts geworden.

Lots of questions regarding Brock Lesnar's colon surgery that occurred a few days ago. I don't know the specific details nor am I am doctor but I have had diverticulitis and surgery as a result of such. Surgery can be done, as was mine, in a very evasive manner depending on the diagnosis and severity of the diverticulitis. My particular case was extremely serious because I disregarded the stomach aches and other symptoms too long and continued to travel and work and my large intestine perforated which caused additional issues with which I had to address.
Other surgery techniques for diverticulitis can come in the form of a much less invasive, almost arthroscopic, surgery which makes small incisions and allows one to heal quicker. From what I ascertain and I may be wrong, the less evasive surgery seems to be what Brock encountered. Nonetheless, Brock's health is more important than his UFC career, or any career for that matter, and he has seemingly done what is necessary to remove the affected area from his colon.
I see no reason whatsoever that we won't see see Brock Lesnar back in the Octagon sometime in 2012.
