- Oscar, seines Zeichen Manager des Tag Teams Men on a Mission (Mo & Mabel), welches Mitte der 90er Jahre in der WWF auch die World Tag Team Championship erringen konnte, war bei Right After Wrestling auf dem Radiosender theScore im Gespräch. Hier sind einige Schlaglichter des Interviews.
* Erinnerungen an Men on a Mission
When Men on a Mission came out, it was a party. From the time we came out to the time we left. Rednecks, Ku Klux Klan members, people who liked rap, don’t like rap, black, white, hip hop fans, non hip hop fans whatever, had their damn hands in the air and were waving them around like they just didn’t care.
* Einfluss von MOM auf das Wrestling
After Men on a Mission were long over, you had groups like Public Enemy. Today, you’ve got R-Truth, you’ve got John Cena. Every other wrestler is coming out to rap music and hip hop. R-Truth coming out like a young version of me coming out with the “What’s Up”. A lot of people copied what we did and if it was so bad why do people do that? Men on a Mission is a blue print for a lot of entrances that are done today.
* Wrestling heute
A lot of these people are great to look at today, but none of these guys are legends. None of these guys are stars. Randy Orton is a star. John Cena is a star. The Nexus...not stars. They’re just undercard people who to me are really overrated. They’re a bunch of job guys who are just getting a gigantic push. The Nexus gimmick is just not realistic. You’ve got people like the Undertaker who can go into a royal rumble match with a bunch of the top people in the industry and clear the ring. So how is it that the Nexus can go in there and beat him down?

I can't comment on other guys who have left or wanted their release. But if you're not happy there then just leave, simple as that. I've had a good relationship with them [WWE] the entire time I was there regardless of what people may think. I have always had strong relationships everywhere I have gone; there are no bad feelings from either end.
* Hat seine Wrestling-Vergangenheit in der WWE gegen ihn gearbeitet?
I took a different path to most of the guys who are coming into WWE now and I think because I made a name for myself outside of the company, they didn't like that. I can't and couldn't ever be recognized as a WWE guy. I was never made by the company and I do think that was an issue. This is the biggest company in the world but they don't have that stamp on me because I made a name for myself all around the world before entering. They would much rather take pride in saying they created you and I think that went against me.
* Politik in der WWE
WWE is a very big political game, and I already knew what the environment entailed, if you play that political game you stand a much better chance of succeeding in a particular role or position. I'm not a politician; I don't see the need in playing these games especially when the business is suffering. If you don't fill in that particular prototype or that idea then you are going to have a more challenging time in regards to a push or trying to excel. I feel this was the case with me; they have always been more about bigger guys. The company could have been behind me a lot more. They also could be behind a lot of guys more.

Großes WrestleMania Rematch in Planung
Wie jedes Jahr reißen die Gerüchte über mögliche Matches für Wrestlemania nicht ab, sie mehren sich sogar um so näher man der großen Veranstaltung kommt. Überschlagen tun sich aber beinahe die Gerüchte über Gegner des Undertakers, sollte er denn bis zum Super Bowl des Wrestling wieder Fit sein. Neu in die Runde der Kontrahenten geworfen wurde Triple H!
Triple H, welcher sich gerade ebenfalls von einer Verletzung erholt, und der Undertaker traten bei Wrestlemania 17, also genau vor 10 Jahren, gegeneinander an. Als Special Guest Referee im Rückkampf sei angeblich der künftige Hell of Famer Shawn Michaels im Gespräch.

Linda McMahon über eine erneute Senats-Kandidatur 2012
Die New York Times hat einen Artikel veröffentlicht, in welchem Linda McMahons politische Zukunft betrachtet wird und ob sie erneut für die Senatswahlen 2012 kandidiert. Basierend auf ihre öffentlichen Äußerungen, die Spekualtionen politischer Experten und ihres immensen Privatvermögen geht die Times davon aus, dass sie einen weiteren Versuch unternehmen und als Senatorin kandidieren wird.
Passend dazu hat zu Beginn der Woche Connecticuts Senator Joseph Leiberman eine weitere Kandidatur 2012 ausgeschlossen. Linda McMahon äußerte sich auf Facebook zum Rücktritt Liebermans und einer erneuten Kandidatur.
Senator Lieberman announced today that he will not seek re-election. I believe he deserves our respect and appreciation for bringing a strong, independent and principled voice to Washington. Many people have asked me what my plans are. While running for the U.S. Senate in 2012 remains an option for me, I will spend ...the next few months focusing on how I can best serve the people of Connecticut.

Umsatz bleibt deutlich hinter Erwartungen zurück, Aktienkurs im Sinkflug
Seit einiger Zeit kommt die WWE von Quartal zu Quartal nicht drumrum, sinkende Zuschauerzahlen im TV, bei PPVs sowie den Live-Shows, besonders in den USA, zu präsentieren. Bisher konnte vor allem der internationale Markt die US-Verluste größtenteils ausgleichen. Langsam aber sicher scheint man aber auch hier das Ende der Fahnenstange erreicht zu haben, denn überraschend kündigte die WWE für die Veröffentlichung der neuesten Quartalszahlen am 10. Februar eine Dividende ihrer Aktien an, die ganz deutlich unter den Erwartungen führender Analysten liegt.
So wird diese für das 4. Quartal 2010 aufgrund rückläufiger Umsätze der Firma zwischen $0.08 und $0.10 liegen. Analysten und Anleger gingen bisher von $0.16 aus, müssen also auf bis zu 50% des erwarteten Erlöses verzichten.
Der Aktienkurs der WWE verlor nach der Ankündigung bis zu 10%, konnte sich aber inzwischen wieder etwas erholen. Besonders die Tatsache, dass man die vorläufigen Zahlen erst nach Börsenschluss in den USA tätigte, konnte hier einen noch größeren Kursrutsch verhindern.
Backstage wurden diese Nachrichten alles andere als gut aufgenommen. Nachdem bereits in der jüngeren Vergangenheit zahlreiche Talente aus Kostengründen entlassen wurden, fürchten nun weitere Mid- und Undercarder um ihren Job.

Chris Jericho stand Al Castle von Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) in einem ausführlichen Interviw Rede und Antwort. Es folgen einige Auszüge aus diesem lesenswerten Gespräch.
* Wird er zur WWE zurückkehren?
As of right now I don’t see myself returning to WWE any time soon. That’s not to say that I’ll never return, but I have no plans, no schedule, no time line for it. Every fan that I see is like, ‘Hey when are you coming back? What’s going? What are you doing?’ And I’ve never really thought that far ahead. As far as I know right now, I don’t have any plans to come back any time in the near future. Sorry if that disappoints anybody!

Now you guys who have five, six, seven, eight years experience working at the top of the top, whereas before you had guys who 15 years experience or 20 years experience. You just might never have that anymore. It’s one of those things where the whole game has changed now the curve will now maybe drop. And what used to be a three star match five years ago, just may end up being the five star match of the future, because you just might not be able to replace that ever. You just don’t have guys like with that experience and it’s not built that way anymore. It’s kind of sad in a lot of ways.

As far as losing, the only guys who were really stuck on the losing were guys who were reporting on it. Most of the losses were my idea. It’s not like there was anything going on behind the scenes. Once again, we’re at a time where you have a lot of young guys and you’ve got to build them up quickly, so you have them win. I could lose every night. I can lose to you. You think anybody’s going to care? Nobody… I was one of the few guys that could do that make that work. Once again, that was a challenge. Wins and losses mean nothing if you know how to do them properly.
* WWE Hall of Fame
Anybody who says, ‘It’s all a work,’ is probably somebody who’s not in there, you know what I mean? To not be in the hall of fame, you think, ‘Oh, who cares?’ But I think anybody who is in the Hall of Fame probably thinks it’s pretty cool. For me, I think I’d be a little bit embarrassed that all of these people were there cheering for me for the work I did in the past.
Like I said, I’ve never really thought of the past. I always think of the future. I think it would be an honor to be in the Hall of Fame, but I think I’d be very, very embarrassed to be up there talking about how great I am, or how great I’m perceived as being, or how great I am on that night. I think that’s one of the reasons I like writing books. I can tell the good things that I’ve done, and also really focus and call myself on the carpet for all the bad things I’ve done as well. So yeah, the Hall of Fame is a huge honor. I hope I’m in it someday. But I’d almost be scared to show up. I might not even go. (laughs)
* Leidenschaft für Schauspielerei und Musik
I see myself doing a lot more of that in the future as well. I think at this stage in my career, it’s going to transition more to just being Fozzy and doing more of the hosting and acting thing. I think that’s another reason why the wrestling fans are mad at me, because they’re starting to realize that when I say I might not come back, they’re starting to see the result of that, and saying, ‘Well, jeez. He might actually be serious and not be pulling a typical wrestling thing where they keep coming back.’ And I’m not saying that’s not going to happen. But the way things are going right now, the road isn’t taking me down that path right now.

Jim Ross über den Royal Rumble, die Hall of Fame und TNA
* 40-Mann-Royal-Rumble
Been asked tons of questions of what I think about the 40 Royal Rumble match...up 10 men from years past. Many 'experts' have already analyzed this 'biggest ever' Rumble match but I'm not that bright. I need to see it play out before I can judge it. Once I see the Rumble on PPV from Boston, which is and has been sold out for weeks, I will better be able to share how I like or don't like the 40 man format.
The impromptu battle royal or Rumble match preview on Raw was of the 'bowling shoe' variety. It did however establish that 400+ pound Mark Henry should be a factor in the Rumble bout.
* Batista im Royal Rumble
An emailer to this site asked me if I thought Batista would be back for the Royal Rumble and my guess is no. Dave has been filming a movie out of the country plus preparing to launch a long awaited, much anticipated MMA career with Strikeforce sometime in 2011 as I understand it. With that said, would it be a shocker to see Batista be of the 40 men in the Rumble match....perhaps....a mild one. Any thing's possible these days and the biz is short on star power.
* Jerry Lawler im Royal Rumble
An emailer hoped that Jerry Lawler would win the Royal Rumble match and I'm not aware that King is going to even be in the Rumble. One thing that I can say is that Jerry is as popular as virtually any wrestler in WWE right now due to recent events which speaks to two points. One, Jerry is extremely talented and, two, it speaks to the issue of the lack of main event depth currently in the wrestling biz in general.
* Wer wird Shawn Michaels in die HoF aufnehmen?
Several have asked who was inducting HBK into the WWE Hall of Fame, and by the way ticket sales for the HOF Ceremony are brisk, and I don't know but I do know that it's Shawn's call. Personally, I would like to see HHH do it because I know that the former DX guys are legit friends and have great respect for each other's work. That's just my two cents.
* Randy Savage in WWE Hall Of Fame
A Twitter follower @JRsBBQ asked the obligatory Randy Savage questions that we get inundated with at this time of the year. There's a video of Macho Man on line with him talking about the WWE's Wrestling All Stars video game which is due to be released on March 29 but Savage going into the WWE HOF this year would surprise me. HBK is this year's headliner and even though Savage had a distinguished, HOF level career he would also be a headliner and not a supporting role player IMO. Look at it any way you choose but each year there is only one headliner at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The year that I was inducted in 2007 Dusty Rhodes was the headliner.
* Ist TNA die neue WCW?
No. Comparing the Turner Network that aired WCW back in the day ala TBS and TNT isn't a fair comparison to the Spike Network. TNT was, as best as I recall, one of the top 1-3 cable networks in existence back in those days while Spike isn't even in the top 15 cable networks in today's marketplace. Some of the on air and in ring talents are the same but I'm not so sure that's such a good thing either. I have many old friends who work for TNA and for their sake and for the sake of the biz in general I hope that TNA does well.
For those fans who theorize that TNA will eventually 'kick WWE's ass' those folks need to lay off the 'magic mushrooms.' It's not about 'kicking WWE's ass' for TNA.

Sid Vicious wegen Drogenbesitzes verhaftet
Der ehemalige WCW & WWF Champion Sid Vicious wurde am Freitag unter anderem wegen Drogenbesitzes und fahren ohne Führerscheines verhaftet. Zu der Untersuchung kam es, da Sidney Eudy, so sein bürgerlicher Name, von Polizeibeamten angehalten wurde, da er ohne Anschnallgurt gefahren ist.
Bei der Untersuchung des Autos stellen die Beamten 18 Gramm Marihuana auf der Ablage sicher. Des weiteren wurde bekannt, dass Eudy zu diesem Zeitpunkt keinen gültigen Führerschein besaß. Gegen eine Kaution von 1000 US-$ kam er frei.
Der Vorfall wurde im Übrigen bereits in einigen lokalen TV-Sendern aufgegriffen. So berichtete unter anderem der WMC Channel 5 über die Geschichte. Den Bericht könnt ihr euch hier anschauen.

McMahon überzeugt von Sheffield und Edge vor Abgang?
- Na, wer erinnert sich noch an Skip Sheffield? Dieser große Typ aus NXT Season I und der Enforcer von Nexus? Langsam dämmert es einem wohl wieder. Skip Sheffield mag nicht jedem Fan ein Begriff sein, aber während er sich von einer schweren Beinverletzung erholt soll er Backstage einen sehr großen Verbündeten haben. So soll Vince McMahon persönlich, wenn man den Aussagen eines ehemaligen Writers glauben schenken darf, ein Befürworter von Sheffield sein. So hätte McMahon es am liebsten wenn man Sheffield nach seiner Rückkehr als #2-Babyface direkt hinter John Cena etabliert.
- Bereits im letzten Jahr berichteten wir darüber das bei der WWE unter anderem Edge über einen Abgang nachdenkt. Der Rated R Superstar möchte scheinbar seinen 2012 auslaufenden Vertrag nicht verlängern. Bei Edge wird damit wohl eine Karriereende verbunden sein, welches er bereits in vielen Interviews für die absehbare Zukunft ankündigte.
Edge wäre nicht der erste Superstar der World Wrestling Entertainment relativ überraschend verlässt. In den letzten Jahren trennten sich, teils hochkarätige, Namen wie Jeff & Matt Hardy, MVP, Kaval, Jillian Hall oder Shad Gaspard auf eigenen Wunsch von ihrem Arbeitgeber.

Ein Ex-WWE Writer blogt - Wie das Jahr 2010 hätte aussehen sollen & mehr
John Piermarini, bis vor kurzem noch WWE-Writer, hat in einem Blog nun mit seinem ehemaligen Arbeitgeber abgerechnet. Der Blog wurde mittlerweile wieder entfernt, man konnte allerdings nicht verhindern das Inhalte daraus an einschlägige Wrestlingseiten weitergeleitet werden. Unter anderem schrieb John Piermarini über eigentliche Booking Pläne im Jahre 2010 und gab Einblicke hinter die Kulissen. Hier einige Highlights:
- Im Sommer debütierten bei RAW die Uso-Brüder. Nach einem kurzen Push in Richtung Tag Team Gold wurden sie allerdings fallen gelassen. John Piermarini berichtet das man eigentlich plante sie mit einem Hip-Hop Gimmick in die Shows einzubinden. McMahon soll laut dem Ex-Writer allerdings den Hintergrund der ganzen Hip-Hop Kultur nicht verstehen, sodass das Gimmick fallen gelassen wurde. Dem Push der Usos wurde anschließend keine große Beachtung mehr geschenkt, da man bei RAW dieser Tage mit Nexus einen anderen Aufhänger gefunden hatte.
- Nachdem Skip Sheffield, von dem McMahon ein großer Fan sei (wir berichteten), sich im Sommer verletzte sollte Mason Ryan, der letzte Woche bei RAW als Teil von Nexus debütierte, seinen Platz im Stable ausfüllen. Vince McMahon lehnte den Vorschlag damals ab.
- Der Push von Michelle McCool im letzten Jahr soll erstmalig nichts mit ihrer Beziehung zum Undertaker zu tun gehabt haben. Das Booking Team war wegen den Inszenierung von LayCool von ihr sehr überzeugt.
- Drew McIntyre sollte eigentlich derjenige sein der im Buried Alive Match zwischen dem Undertaker und Kane letzterem zum Sieh verhalf. Eine Änderung in letzter Sekunde machte aus Drew McIntyre anschließend Nexus.
- Laut unserem Ex-Angestellten arbeite man Backstage derzeit auf Hochtouren an einem Programm zwischen dem Undertaker und Wade Barrett.
- Die derzeitige Storyline zwischen Daniel Bryan und den Bella Twins soll eine Idee der Bellas gewesen sein, mit der sie an das Booking Team heran traten. In dem Erstentwurf sollte die Rolle von Bryan allerdings durch Evan Bourne gespielt werden. Die Verletzung von Bourne zwang die Booker anschließend zum Umdenken.

im Ross über WCW PPV-Namen, Nachwuchstalente, Schiedsrichten
* Warum die WWE nicht alte WCW PPV-Namen nutzt?
I assume just to be more original or contemporary. The titles of the PPV's seem to be being tweaked all the time but no matter the name of the event it is still and always will be the 'attraction' that sells PPV's not the title of the event. I do expect to see ALL the WCW PPV's and Clash of Champions events utilized when WWE launches their own network down the road. You might even see some of them monetized via DVD releases at some point in time.
* Superstars nutzen um Nachwuchstalente zu promoten
Someone suggested that WWE Superstars be utilized to feature WWE's younger talents. I thought that was usually the case. The talents who don't get much time on Raw or Smackdown often time end up on WGN America's Superstars broadcast. These are the times when talents really need to elevate their game, maximize their minutes and not look at wrestling on Superstars as be exiled or some form of 'punishment.' These are the moments that game day players go out and turn heads and make positive impressions. It's like playing on special teams for a NFL team or being the 8th or 9th man on a NBA roster...always maximize one's minutes and opportunities.
* Jim Ross als WWE-Ringrichter?
Nope... not expected to be refereeing many matches going forward. Nothing is scheduled. However, Michael Cole is doing some refereeing I'm told in non televised, main events at TV tapings.

Weitere Spekulationen über diesjährige Hall of Fame
- Nachdem bisher lediglich Shawn Michaels als Mitglied der HoF-Klasse von 2011 bekanntgegeben wurde, werden nun weitere Namen im Internet gehandelt.
So scheint eines der berühmtesten Tag Teams für die Aufnahme in die Hall of Fame im Gespräch. Es handelt sich hierbei um die Fabulous Freebirds, bestehend aus Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy und Buddy Roberts. Ebenso werden Hardcore-Ikone Abdullah the Butcher und "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, Patriarch der Armstrong-Familie aus welcher Scott, Brad, Steve und Brian (aka "Road Dogg" Jesse James) hervorgingen, als mögliche Kandidaten gehandelt.
- Eine mögliche Aufnahme der früheren WWE-, WCW- und ECW-Diva Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny) wurde von ihr selbst mittlerweile dementiert. Sie wird am besagten Wochenende in Atlanta sein, allerdings um Auftritte für Ring of Honor zu absolvieren.

- WWE-Hall-of-Famer Bret Hart äußerte sich in einem Interview in der Radioshow Live Audio Wrestling auf Sirius XM unter anderem über Shawn Michaels Hall-of-Fame-Aufnahme. Er wurde auch gefragt, ob er Michaels aufnehmen würde:
I wouldn't have any problem inducting Shawn. The truth is Shawn was a great wrestler and I had a lot of great matches with him. I'm proud of some of the great memories I had with Shawn and I would be happy to induct him into the Hall of Fame if they asked me to.

Update zu Sid Vicious Verhaftung
Die Associated Press hat einen Bericht über die Verhaftung des früheren WWE- und WCW-Weltmeister Sid Eudy (aka Sid Vicious) veröffentlicht. Sid wurde aufgrund des Besitzes von Marijuana sowie unangeschnalltes Fahren eines PKW ohne Führerschein letzten Freitag abend in Memphis, Tennessee arrestiert.
Mittlerweile wurde Sid für 1.000 US-$ Kaution freigelassen. Laut der offiziellen Website des Shelby County Sheriff's Office kam es Montag morgen zur Gerichtsverhandlung. Wir halten euch weiterhin auf dem Laufenden!

- Der frühere WWE-Wrestler Shad Gaspard sprach mit Final Bell Radio und hatte keine netten Worte für den verstorbenen Lance Cade übrig. Es folgen Höhepunkte des Interviews.
* Was verursachte "Heat" zwischen Cryme Tyme und Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch?
Well, I mean, anybody who knows Lance Cade God rest the guy's soul. Lance was a great guy personally. Great father to his kids, great guy to hang out with and chill with. Lance Cade the person and Lance Cade the wrestler are two totally different people. Lance Cade the person is a guy that I would fight for in a bar. Lance Cade the wrestler is a guy that would stab me in the back, stab me in the gut, and who has stabbed several of his friends to keep his career going. That's what he was taught to do, so that's what he did.
* sein PPV-Match gegen JTG und sein Push
The outcome at the pay per view match kinda got messed up because we weren't given information that was vital to our match. It's one of those things where certain people don't give you information for good reason in their opinion. And the good reason is, the pay-per-view match would have put me over big and would have set off a chain of events that would have led to me being number one contender for the WWE title eventually but certain people decided not to chime in and tell me what was going to happen in the match.
* Gab es Gespräche mit TNA?
I've talked to several wrestlers that work for TNA about me coming over. I was actually supposed to go to TNA show a couple of times with a friends of mine but I was still with the company(WWE) so I didn't want to have a Highlander moment... I like TNA but I'd want to do something different if I came to TNA. I would want to make a boom rather than be like everybody else.

* Nackenverletzung
Other than the normal, I did have two bulging disc in my neck (between C5 & C6). I'm not sure exactly when it occurred or if it just happened as a result of constant wear and tear, but boy did it hurt! It was probably the worst, pain wise, at Hell in a Cell. I remember barely being able to move my neck at all. It was so bad that day (& about 4-5 days after) that I couldn't even bend my head down far enough to scratch my forehead. I was diagnosed the following Tuesday after HIAC when I had an MRI. I took it easy in the ring for a few weeks after. Right now, I've had a sprained pinky finger for 3 weeks. I know that sounds silly, but it's aggravating.
* Gimmickmatches
It's funny...it seems that no matter what the diva's do, there will be a million people loving it and another million hating it! I've never been a fan of the bra and panties matches... The extreme makeover match was pretty fun, but nothing will top the rush I had during the TLC match. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did! I felt it for several days after, but I loved every bit of it!
I hope they continue to give the divas more opportunities like that. It was so refreshing to do something so extreme. The crowd loved it too, which is always nice! I actually thought they were ribbing us when they told us that our match would be a table match as well! It took asking about 5 people before I actually believed it.

I attribute a lot of that to just being new. Sometimes at the beginning of your career, you're just afraid to go for it (for lack of better terms). I think I always held back in fear of screwing something up, versus just going for it and having them have to reel me back in (which is what Layla and I tend to do now)! They were both great guys that I hope are doing well!

Brock Lesnar nicht bei WrestleMania XXVII
Als vor zwei Wochen, am 12. Januar, UFC-Präsident Dana White alle Gerüchte um einen Auftritt Brock Lesnars bei WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia aus der Welt schaffte, traf er sich mit Vince McMahon in New York City. Es wird angenommen, dass McMahon White ein Angebot für einen Auftritt Lesnars machte. Trotz der herzlichen Begegnung soll sich nichts an Whites Aussage geändert haben.
Nun hat sich Brock Lesnar im ersten Interview seit dem Verlust der UFC Heavyweight Championship an Cain Velasquez im letzten Oktober selbst zu den Gerüchten geäußert. Im Gespräch mit Yahoo! Sports äußerte er kein Interesse an einer Teilnahme an der diesjährigen WrestleMania zu haben und die Gerüchte auch erst spät mitbekommen hat.

Der Zwischenfall mit dem Undertaker bei UFC 121 wurde von Lesnar mit keiner Silbe kommentiert.

Woher kommt Mason Ryan? & Steigt Vince ins Fußball Geschäft ein?
Das neuste Mitglied und Powerhouse im WWE Roster nennt sich Mason Ryan. Er benutzt ein Art Sit-Down Chokeslam als Finisher, ist groß, ähnelt Batista und ist das neuste Mitglied von Nexus. Aber was wissen wir eigentlich sonst so über Ryan? Wo kommt der amtierende FCW Heaveyweight Champion eigentlich her? WWE kündigt ihn aus Cardiff, Wales an. Das ist aber nicht ganz richtig. Eigentlich stammt Mason Ryan aus einem kleinen Dorf namens Gwynedd, ebenfalls in Wales. Das kann zwar niemand aussprechen, es ist aber die Heimat des Walisen. Keine große Sache finden wir, die UK Daily Post veröffentlichte allerdings einen Artikel der sich genau darum dreht. So soll die Ortsregierung Gwynedd enttäuscht davon sein, das man Mason Ryan nicht aus dem kleinen Dorf ankündigen lässt. Auch die Griffiths-Familie, so der bürgerliche Name vom Nexus Mitglied, ist enttäuscht darüber das man die Herkunft ihres Sprösslings nicht gerecht anerkennt. Sein Vater allerdings kann die WWE verstehen. So sei man in Wales froh wenn man die Amerikaner überhaupt wüssten wo Wales lege und was ihre Hauptstadt sei, da müsse man nicht noch darauf bedacht sein ein kleines Dorf in die Öffentlichkeit zu drängen.
- Gehen wir von Wales direkt nach England. In der letzten Woche kamen nämlich Gerüchte auf das WWE-CEO Vince K. McMahon daran interessiert sei den Fußball Klub Newcastle United zu kaufen. Newcastle spielt derzeit in der Premiere League, der höchsten britischen Liga, und besitzt ein Stadion mit einem Fassungsvermögen von etwa 52.000 Zuschauern. So spannend das für uns Wrestling Fans klingen mag, die Gerüchte wurden bereits als unwahr abgestempelt. Unseren Quellen zufolge besitzt die McMahon Familie kein wirkliches Interesse daran in lukrative Fußball Geschäft einzusteigen. Nach seiner Investition in seine eigene Football Liga XFL, durch die er einige Millionen Dollar verlor, ist Mr. McMahon bei solchen Angelegenheit vermutlich etwas vorsichtiger geworden.
